Soft footsteps echoed through the hall, like droplets of water hitting a hollow surface. There was silence...until a girl smacked a guy in the back of the head with a notebook. "Ahh. I feel better." She exclaimed, walking over to her seat casually after putting the notebook back in the trashcan. The guy stared at her for a moment before going back to doing his work.
The teacher looked at her, blinked, and then went back to playing 'Finding Nemo' on her computer.
"Gahh...I'm already done with the assignment and there's more than 30 minutes of class left." She muttered, picking up her Magical Thinking book and beginning to read, laughing every once in a while at the situation described in the book. After a while, her mind began to drift off, and she recalled the memories of the day.

The first period bell rang. Shuffling through various papers, the girl held up three papers in success. "Yes! Sucks that I didn't take notes of the video though..." She turned to look at her classmate questioningly after putting the papers down in front of her. "Did she ever tell us to take notes on the video? I don't remember..." The other girl shook her head. "Thought so...well, that's life for you." She muttered the last part, scratching her head. The girl's eyes widened as she realized something important for that day. "...I hate tests." She groaned, setting forehead on the table and closing her eyes briefly. A few minutes later, the dreaded test was handed out in an orderly manner by the teacher.

"Man, these people take forever to get somewhere..." She muttered, walking behind a large crowd of people who were either gossiping about other people's lives, or just decided to make the school day longer by taking forever to get to their lockers. She let out a sigh, cringing at the sight of a certain guy: her ex-boyfriend. "...As long as he doesn't try to kill me, I'm good." She thought, putting her books atop the lockers. She hurriedly grabbed her Civics book and folder, and hurried back upstairs to get to her class.
~~
"Great, quiz today..." She muttered, noticing she still had a quiz pass. "Score!" She grinned, her grin being wiped away by the sound of the teacher's voice.
"You may use your notes."
"Hell yeah! I won't have to waste my quiz pass on this one." The grin she had displayed a few moments ago was replaced by a smirk. "Hopefully, I took good notes..."

After chatting on the way to her third period class with her friend, the girl actually stepped into the classroom and took her seat in the very back of the class. Did the teacher consider her THAT antisocial? "I guess not...since Morgan IS sitting next to me." She blew a strand of hair out of her face and began to listen to the teacher rant on and on...and then a video came and they had to take notes...yadda yadda...the usual, boring, third period science class.

And then...it was BAND. She loved this class; Mainly for the fact that they were now playing marching music instead of concert music, and playing on their marching instruments instead of their concert instruments. The girl followed the band director's instructions, listened intently, and played whenever they had to record a song for the Drill Team/Cheerleaders.
Nothing else ever happened in Band. The band director didn't seem to like her that much, but she didn't care. All she cared about was playing her music.

After lunch, fifth period came. Geometry was naturally boring, but today...they got to play...DOMINOES? Nothing too surprising, since their teacher WAS amazingly non-boring and let them play every once in a while. The catch: The game was for a grade. Nonetheless, it was fun to play, especially once they were done. With 20 minutes left of class, she was amused whenever she stood up, only to have her friend hold on to her leg, seemingly 'for dear life'. She laughed, staying put and watching her friend silently begin to fall asleep, with her foot as his pillow/teddy bear/...nightlight?

Since she had already finished everything she needed to do in sixth period, the girl decided to bring her Civics book and do her notes for the next day. Once again, they would have a quiz. She put her earphones on, turned on her MP3 player, and began to jam out to the music, dancing randomly in her seat as she wrote. Amazingly, this was not hard for her to do, since she had had much practice before...from doing it so many times.

After recalling the various events of the day, the girl shook her head, cleared up her mind, and went back to reading her book. "Why do I daydream so much?..." She asked herself, before hearing a particularly annoying voice in the classroom. "HEY! JOSH! LEARN TO SHUT UP EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE!" |
